ANNUAL SPECIAL TOURNAMENT DATES

The RB Inn Men’s Golf Club is scheduled to play a golf tournament every Monday morning during 2026.  While most of these will be our typical golf tournaments, some of these have been designated Annual Special Tournaments.  These events are fun and popular and feature an enhanced prize pool, so put these dates on your calendar now so that you won’t miss out.

Here is a summary of the Club’s 2026 “special” tournaments currently scheduled:

 

March 30, 2026.

Annual Spring Member/Member 2-Man Team Best Ball.

ALL members of the Club who have an official RBIMGC index are eligible to compete in the Spring Member/Member 2-Man Best Ball Tournament and there is no longer a minimum-number-of-rounds-played requirement. As always, members will be allowed to pick their playing partner to form their 2-Man Team or they may register as a single to be paired up with another single by the Tournament Director. The prize pool will be enhanced by $100 from the treasury. Invitations will be sent out on March 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The Club Championship – The President’s Cup – Qualification Rounds

NOTE THAT THE QUALIFYING RULES for 2026 HAVE BEEN CHANGED.

A completed Application Entry form and a $22 entry fee are required to be submitted in order to have the chance to qualify for the Club’s Annual President’s Cup.  In order to participate in THIS EVENT, a member is required to have played in a minimum of ten (10) Men’s Club Monday tournaments in the 12-month period prior to April 1, 2026. The combined lowest net scores from any 2 rounds played between April 6 and April 27 will determine the President’s Cup finalists. The top 8 qualifiers in each of two flights go on to compete in match-play against other flight finalists to determine the Club’s Champion in each flight. The quarter finals will be played in the week of May 4, the semifinals will be on May 11 and the final will be on May 18. All qualifiers will receive a Presidents Cup cap and prizes will be $35 for Quarterfinalists, $55 for Semifinalists, $140 for the runners up and $250 for the Club Champions of each flight plus a trophy. The Tournament Directors will be April 6 Bryan Murphy, April 13 Jerry Canning, April 20 Scott Hamelin, April 27 Jeff  Bondesson.

Annual Members’ Golf Day – Fall Member/Member 2-Man Best Ball Tournament

Like the other Member/Member tournaments, ALL members of the Club with an official RBIMGC index are eligible to compete in the Fall Golf Day – Member/Member 2-Man Best Ball tournament. Players will be able to pick their playing partner or register as a single. The prize pool will be enhanced by $200 from the treasury. TD will be Jerry Canning.

Member’s Annual Meeting and Dinner: The Club’s Annual Dinner and Member Meeting is currently scheduled to be held the evening of  Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the RB Inn.

 

December 7, 2026.   

RBIMGC Anniversary Cup Championship

Those Club members who have earned a minimum of thirty (30) Anniversary Cup points from their RBIMGC tournament play during the 12-months prior to December 7, 2026 will be eligible to receive the Anniversary Cup “handicap bonus” as prescribed by the rules of the Anniversary Cup.  Members earn 2 Anniversary Cup points for every tournament they play and 1 additional point for either being on a winning team or winning an individual Low Gross, Low Net or closest to the pin prize. The pool will be enhanced by $200 with a trophy awarded to the winner. The TD will be Joe Walkington.

 Each of these Special Tournaments feature enhanced payout pools and are very popular tournaments. We hope that all of you will participate in these Events.
